Over the past several years the profile of the typical professional making a career transition has changed significantly. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Executive in Transition Coaching Program provides coaching to individuals who are experiencing a career transition. The program is designed to assist displaced employees in developing and implementing a career plan. It begins with an in-depth assessment of the individual's values, skills, interests, talents and preferred work characteristics. This assessment leads to the creation of a Personal Mission Statement, Career Objective and Marketing Plan. We then help participants update their job search skills and successfully position themselves to achieve their Career Objective. Finally, we provide on-going consulting in implementing and altering their plan in response to market needs and in evaluating career opportunities.

GOALS:

  • Develop and implement a career plan that optimally incorporates strengths, interests, values and preferred work characteristics.
  • Complete a thorough career assessment that results in the development of a Personal Mission Statement and a Career Objective.
  • Create a plan to explore career options and assess their fit with the Career Objective.
  • Design an effective Marketing Plan and collateral marketing materials to enhance efforts to obtain a position in line with the Career Objective or develop a business plan if starting a business is an option that was chosen to pursue.
  • Ensure success in implementing the Marketing Plan through regular interaction with coach and to revise the Plan based on the information gathered on the needs of the market and the match with individual's strengths and qualifications.
  • Evaluate job or business opportunities to determine the extent to which they fit with the Career Objective, negotiate the best possible offer and plan for successful entry into new job/career.
