OBJECTIVES:

Participants will...

• Increase their awareness and understanding of the transition process to enable them to manage the process effectively.

• Assess their accomplishments, skills, abilities, values and preferred work characteristics to be included in a Career Objective that will guide their search efforts.

• Learn the "how to's" of effective resume writing to develop a resume that is targeted to the Career Objective and that highlights skills and accomplishments.

• Understand the various strategies in conducting a job search in today's market in order to develop a comprehensive Marketing Plan.

• Gain an increased understanding of the interview and negotiation process and tips on capitalizing on the opportunity to "sell" themselves to an organization.
